Barb's Bar-B-Q

A true drive-in! My wife, who is a Searcy native says that there has been a drive-in restaurant at this location since some time in the 50’s. She remembers dining here in the 60’s with her family as well as having lunch here when she was in high school in the early 70’s. At that time the establishment was under different ownership. She tells me that Barb has owned the restaurant for many years and the food always is good. I can attest to that! Drive up and eat in your car or make yourself home at one of the picnic tables in nice weather.

I've been eating Barb's BBQ my entire life. It's the most consistent food, never altered and never changes. I eat it most days for lunch. You cannot beat their slaw if you like a mustard style slaw. Nothing fancy but I have never had one complaint.

I had barbs bbq for lunch today. Barbs bbq was the best bbq I have ever had! Service was amazing! The two ladies are sweethearts! I will be going back!

The ladies at Barb's are kind and funny which makes the wait time go by fast. They have been here in Searcy for many years and still deliver a healthy serving of the best quality bbq I have ever eaten from a small little business. The food prices at Barb's are fair and you definitely get your money's worth!! Never disappointed.. always leave satisfied!!

Good barbecue comes with mustard slaw. You can order by the pound and get a family pack. Also good grilled cheese with ham. They do not accept debit or credit cards. Service is usually pretty fast. There is no dining area so all food is made to carry out.

Barb's BBQ looks like it is straight from the screen if you were to watch an episode of Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. This BBQ stand has been a staple in the community for many years, and it shows with their reputation and reviews. BBQ and the associated fixings are the main offerings here, and you won't be disappointed with anything you get. It's cheap, good, and all around your usual kind of Southern fare.

My first impression was they DO NOT accept Debit, or Credit Card. With that said after calling in my order. Upon arriving, I had to leave to make an atm run. The ladies was supper nice and friendly. The bbq was ok, but not excited about the bbq sauce. The coleslaw was different. Never had it with mustard before, but it wasn't bad at all. I fill like the coleslaw is what saved the sandwich in my opinion. Just saying. All an all, it was not a bad sandwich. It is strictly a personal preference thing. You can draw your own upon. Yes I would recommend Barb's.

If you want good local Searcy bbq, this is it. The sauce is thick, sweet and spicy and makes great baked beans. The mustard slaw...makes that sandwich. Glorious!
